   #045 Diego Luna

Euskadi Basque Country 2030 Agendan antolatutako jardueren artean, Donostia Zinemaldiaren Pentsamendua eta Eztabaida arloak solasaldi bat antolatu zuen 74. Edizioan, zinema errealitatean esku hartzeko modu gisa duen zereginari buruz. Horretarako, 2026ko irailaren 21ean, Tabakalerako 1. aretoan solasaldia egin zen Diego Luna aktore, zuzendari eta ekoizle mexikarrarekin. Lunak Ceniza en la boca bere film berria aurkeztu zuen Horizontes Latinos sailean, baina Donostiako publikoarentzat hain ezaguna ez den bere lanaren alderdi bati buruz hitz egin zuen: Ambulante jaialdiari buruz, hain zuzen ere. 2005ean sortu zuen irabazi-asmorik gabeko erakunde hori, Elena Fortes eta Gael García Bernalekin batera, Mexikon dokumental-zinema babestu eta zabaltzeko helburuarekin. Solasaldia Noemí Cuetosek, ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones erakundeko zinema-sektoreko buruak, moderatu zuen. As part of the activities organized within the framework of the Euskadi Basque Country 2030 Agenda, the San Sebastián Festival’s Thought and Debate department organized a conversation during its 74th edition on the role of cinema as a means of engaging with reality. The discussion took place on September 21, 2026, in Tabakalera’s Hall 1, with Mexican actor, director and producer Diego Luna, who was attending the Festival to present his new film, Ceniza en la boca / Ashes, in the Horizontes Latinos section. Luna was invited to discuss an aspect of his work that is perhaps less familiar to San Sebastian audiences: the Ambulante festival. Founded in 2005 by Luna, Elena Fortes, and Gael García Bernal, this non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting and promoting documentary cinema in Mexico. The conversation was moderated by Noemí Cuetos, Head of the Film Sector at ICEX Spain Trade and Investment.
