Comment les Suisses se représentent-ils leur pays? Comment voient-ils son rôle dans le monde au fil du temps, c’est-à-dire dans le passé, dans le présent et dans le futur? L’invité du modérateur Andreas Müller dans le troisième épisode du podcast est l’ancien conseiller fédéral Pascal Couchepin, qui a été politicien pendant 40 ans. Die Schweiz ist ein kleines und doch sehr vielfältiges Land. Welche Art von Zusammenhalt brauchen wir, damit wir friedlich miteinander leben und Probleme gemeinsam anpacken können? Das ist das Thema der zweiten Folge von «Zukünfte». Gästin ist Olivia Kühni, Wirtschaftsjournalistin, bis Ende Juni 2022 bei der Republik. Ihr Schwerpunkt sind wirtschafts- und sozialpolitische Fragen, die keine offensichtlichen Antworten haben. Sie wurde zweimal zur Wirtschaftsjournalistin des Jahres ausgezeichnet. Wie kann eine Gesellschaft tragfähige politische Lösungen finden, wenn verschiedene Gruppen unterschiedliche Perspektiven und Interessen haben? Wie gehen wir mit Unterschieden und Machtgefällen um? Durch die Schweiz ziehen sich zahlreiche Gräben, sagt Olivia Kühni im Gespräch mit Moderator Ivo Scherrer. 1 Demokratie auf dem Rückzug? Mit Bruno Kaufmann
Das System Demokratie kriselt. Heute lebt nur noch eine Minderheit der Weltbevölkerung in einer Demokratie. Der russische Einmarsch in die Ukraine steht auch für die Bedrohung der Demokratie durch autokratische Machtansprüche. Zu Gast in der ersten Folge von «Zukünfte» ist Bruno Kaufmann, ausgewiesener Experte für die Demokratie. Er ist globaler Demokratiekorrespondent bei Swissinfo und Nordeuropa-Korrespondent für SRF. Er engagiert sich als Vorstandsmitglied bei der Schweizer Demokratie Stiftung. Dass Demokratie immer wieder in Frage gestellt wird, sieht Bruno Kaufmann auch als Einladung, sie neu zu denken: breiter und vielfältiger. Nebst den globalen Trends spricht Moderator Che Wagner mit dem Demokratie-Experten auch über die Rolle der Schweiz: Sie soll ihre privilegierte Situation nutzen, um weltweit einen Beitrag zur Demokratie zu leisten. Aber auch das eigene System sollten Schweizer Stimmbürger:innen weiter verbessern, etwa durch innovative Beteiligungsformate und die Ausweitung des Stimm- und Wahlrechts.
