<p>Ist es der Geist von Wuthering Heights? Nein, Es sind Hannah, Sarah und Jan-Gottfried die mit dem Zeitgeist über Wutherings Heights spuken. Wir reden zwei Stunden lang über einen fast 200 Jahre alten Roman. Unser Beitrag gegen Anti-Intellektualismus, denn: Mausis, it is that deep. </p><p>Und dann ist da noch der Film. Wurde Wuthering Heights nur gedreht, damit wir sehen, wie Margot Robbie und Jacob Elordy auf der Leinwand herumkutschen? Oder ist Emerald Fennell eine verkannte Beobachterin unserer Zeit?</p><p>Wir fragen uns: Was passiert im Buch, was passiert im Film, und was zur Hölle will Smaragd Fenchel uns eigentlich erzählen? Woher kommt ihre Angst vor Menschen aus der Unterschicht. Und warum wird im Buch genau einmal geküsst, wir aber trotzdem mit einem schlechten, unerotischen „Liebesfilm" nach Hause gehen?</p><p>Bereits vor der Veröffentlichung hat diese Adaption hohe Wellen geschlagen. Denn seit der Cast-Enthüllung wurde spekuliert, dass dieser Film wenig von seiner Literaturgrundlage hält. </p><p>Was kann das Medium Film leisten?
