I have spent 30+ years healing from stories that molded me to live a life I didn’t want. A few years ago, I left a 70-hour work week, sold everything, and started writing and sharing my experience of addressing childhood trauma and mental health. That process grew into a powerful community of other survivors whose stories are finally being told. This space is for them.
Nate Postlethwait explores how to manage overwhelming jealousy, offering insights to foster healthier relationships.

Autism, Motherhood, & Fawning w/Dr. Ingrid Clayton
As much as I enjoyed Dr. Ingrid Clayton sharing a deeper dive into fawning, I was also grateful for her curiosity around my autism diagnosis. The overlaps of two stories: childhood trauma, scapegoating, fawning, autism, motherhood, and the stress and pressure of taking your life back. The link to join my online group is here. Episode 11: Max | Belonging & Adoption Trauma
When I was introduced to Max I was not prepared to hear his story. The more we chatted over coffee, and the more details he shared, the more I could barely take it in. He smiles, a big smile, and says, "You should write about this." So, I did. Then, I had him come along and share the story. Please leave Max comments below expressing your gratitude and support. We will make sure he sees all of them. The link to join my online group is here. If you are seeing this message when registratio...

Guilt: Survivors POV (Ep. 6)
Welcome back! This episode had many parallels to our last episode on surviving estrangement. This weeks story covers the complexity of guilt (or perceived guilt) for choosing to heal. We do a deeper dive into how someone can feel guilt when they've made decisions that honor their mind, body, and soul. It's certainly complex. Let us know in the comments if you relate to this story... If you have a story or a breakthrough you want to share, feel free to leave us a message @ 631-565-71...

Surviving Estrangement (Ep.5)
Welcome back everyone. Today, we are doing a deep dive into estrangement. I have found this topic to be widely relatable yet heavily shamed among trauma survivors. As you listen along, pay attention to your response to the different messages you may have heard that invited in further shame around you being estranged. That part of you may need some TLC from you-well deserved. Have a question you want us to cover? Call & Leave a Voicemail: 631-565-7143 🔔 Subscribe for new episode...

The Mother Wound | Breaking the Cycle (Ep.4)
This is the first story we are covering that was submitted from someone in my online group. It’s a tough one, but a topic that I know is relatable to many people-the mother wound. Pay close attention to the process. There are many layers to this type of healing, but hopefully you hear something that helps you find context for something in your life too. If you would like to submit your story to be covered, you can do that by submitting here in the comments or calling the pho...

The Truth About Conversion Therapy (Ep. 2)
There have been few stories told about conversion therapy from the survivors perspective. In this episode I share my history of going through conversion therapy, and how they ran the organization. This story highlights the obsession with the abuser-centered society: The stories centering around the people who hurt others, rather than the survivors. If you are a trauma survivor, listen closely at 22:01 TRIGGER WARNING: This episode mentions suicide, suicidal ideation, and stories a...

Episode 14: When Jealousy Talks Too Loud
Published 2 Sept 2026 · Transcript excerpt
[…] I could not imagine not feeling overly responsible for everyone around me and telling them I will take care of everything and make sure everyone was satisfied in the end, which is what I said to my downstairs neighbor. Is it just jealousy? No. It's also grief. Grief that as childhood trauma survivors, we have had to rebuild our lives with so much responsibility that we often let go of what we want and need because it feels out of reach. We grieve over other people walking around in a world where we know they have never endured the kind of pain that changed them in an instant. We grieve the time that was meant to be spent holding us close and teaching us about safety and how we had no choice but to be in survival mode instead. […]
