Dr. Craig Considine: "I focus on where Prophet Muhammad was building bridges."

<p>In this 13th episode of Abratalks, we sit down with Craig Considine : Sociologist, Author and Lecturer at Rice University. </p><p>Raised in the suburbs of Boston, Craig grew up at the crossroads of cultures and beliefs with Irish and Italian roots, a Catholic upbringing, and early exposure to Jewish culture. From this environment shaped by diversity, family traditions, and religious nuance, he developed a deep curiosity for identity, faith, and what brings people together. At a time of global tensions, this conversation asks a fundamental question: can Abrahamic faiths become a framework for coexistence rather than conflict? </p><p><br></p><p>Chapters</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4">0:00</a> Introduction </p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=74s">01:14</a> Family background<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=244s">04:04</a> Experimenting religious pluralism</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=324s">05:24</a> A journey of faith and identity<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=538s">08:58</a> The impact of 9/11<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=644s">10:44</a> Interfaith engagement and the figure of Prophet Muhammad<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=1074s">17:54</a> Experiencing Abrahamic fraternity<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=1352s">22:32</a> The future of Abrahamism<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=1479s">24:39</a> Students and interfaith initiatives<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=1612s">26:52</a> Academic debates and critiques<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=1991s">33:11</a> The role of scholars<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=2160s">36:00</a> Current events in the MENA region<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhStYNEGxB4&amp;t=2598s">43:18</a> Three wishes for the future of pluralism and Abrahamism</p><br/><p>Hosted on Ausha.
