Oakland University Department of Biological Sciences Professor Scott Teagues joined Amanda Forrester out of Odyssey Station WWJ Newsradio in Detroit to spill the tea on what's been going on with these weird worms. Why don't we start with what a jumping worm is? Well, jumping worms, it's a family of earthworms, and they're from Asia in origin. They're not native to the United States, and they're certainly not native to Michigan. And they were first detected in Michigan in 2008, and they happened to be detected on the campus of Oakland University, actually on our biological preserve. […]
