BYU is 5 and 0, Notre Dame is coming to LaVell Edwards Stadium, and College GameDay is in Provo. Saturday, 5:30 on ABC.

So the question we spend this episode on is a big one. Is this the biggest game in BYU history? We came in with a lot of opinions, and then we brought in someone who has been in that stadium since the day it was built.
Dr. Kerry Muhlestein, host of The Scriptures Are Real and BJ’s dad, sits down in our living room and takes us through 1984, the Miami game, and the electricity he still remembers. Then he tells us exactly when this game becomes the biggest one ever, and when it doesn’t. Not what we expected.
We also get into what BYU has to do to win. What we’re worried about with the offense and who has to step up. How a defense that has been shutting people down matches up with one of the best offensive lines in the country. And why the weather forecast has us feeling good.
Then the Larsen Line is back with three new numbers on Bear, Legend Glasker and CJ Carr. Then everyone at the table, goes on the record with a score. Tell us yours in the comments before Saturday. We read every one.

BYU Beat Iowa State. Is It Enough for Notre Dame?
BYU beat Iowa State. Was it pretty, was it ugly, was it enough?
Join us in the living room for the recap, and join the community at truebluecougar.com.
Honestly, it was a little of everything. The defense looked elite. The offense moved the ball all night until it got near the end zone. Two fourth downs we could not believe, a muffed punt, and a few drops that were right in the hands. Notre Dame is coming to LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, so we have to ask whether this was enough.
We get into all of it. Whether this offense has gelled yet. The fourth down calls, and why we keep running up the middle and throwing the fade. Our concerns about special teams. And the tight end breakout game we have been waiting for.
Then we settle the Larsen Line and call the score prediction winner.
Then it is King of the Y, homecoming edition. Bear Bachmeier put up huge numbers, and our defense was nasty from the corners to the front. Five players, one crown, and the room could not agree. A very special guest pulls up a chair to help settle it.
We close with the Blue Goggle Award, and it goes to one of you.
Who is your King of the Y? Drop it in the comments. We read every one.

BYU Is Banged Up Before Iowa State. Should We Panic?
BYU is down a bunch of starters and Iowa State is coming to LES hungry.

LJ Martin looks out. Cannon DeVries is probable. Siale Esera should be back. And somewhere in there we lost count of how many starters we are missing. So how worried are we? Depends who you ask. Some of us are watching Iowa State like a hawk. Some of us are blue goggles guys and it is next man up.
Brad Larsen joined us at the table this week.
So we get into all of it. Iowa State's passing attack, which is more dangerous than the record says. Aiden Flora, who is averaging 8 yards a carry with no long run skewing it. Whether the secondary gets its real test this week, maybe even more than Arizona. Who runs the ball without LJ. And whether that offensive line has finally gelled, because Bruce Mitchell and the guys up front were doing real damage on Bear's last touchdown.
Then the Larsen Line, with three new numbers from Taylor. BYU rushing yards. Iowa State passing yards. And Walker Lyons receptions. Somebody went way, way under, and I mean way under.
Then score predictions. They are not close to each other.
We finish with the Blue Goggles comment of the day, brought to you by True Blue Cougar. It turned into a full playoff math argument. Notre Dame, Utah, Texas Tech, tiebreakers, and somebody guaranteeing something I do not think is legally binding.
Next up: Iowa State at LaVell Edwards Stadium, Friday night at 8:15 MT on ESPN.
What is your score? Drop it in the comments before kickoff. We read every one.
