Driving for Better Business

<p>This week we shine the spotlight on the 'Driving for Better Business' podcast as we take a look at fatigue in driving. Host Simon Turner talks with Dr Paul Jackson, a Chartered Psychologist specialising in human performance who has assisted safety-critical organisations to implement fatigue risk management systems for more than 20 years.</p><p>In particular they look at a landmark legal case in which the Office of Rail and Road successfully prosecuted an employer for health and safety breaches, as a result of two of its employees being killed in a road traffic collision where driver fatigue was identified as the primary cause.</p><p>You can check out Driving for Better business, and the podcast, <a href="https://www.drivingforbetterbusiness.com/podcast/episode/driver-fatigue-not-just-a-tick-box/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">here</a>.</p><p><a href="https://projectedward.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Project EDWARD</a> (<strong>E</strong>very <strong>D</strong>ay <strong>W</strong>ithout <strong>A</strong> <strong>R</strong>oad <strong>D</strong>eath) is an annual UK-wide road safety campaign backed by government, the emergency services, highways agencies, road safety organisations and British businesses.</p><p>The Campaign, Managed by Projects Zero, promotes an evidence-led, ‘safe system’ approach – the long-term objective of which is a road traffic system free from death and serious injury.</p><p>Our aim is to provide a platform that showcases some of the best work being done around the country to promote:</p><ul><li>Safe Vehicles</li><li>Safe Road Use</li><li>Safe Speed</li><li>Safe Roads and Roadsides</li><li>Post Crash Care</li></ul><br/><p>For more information on the Safe System, visit: <a href="http://www.pacts.org.uk/safe-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">www.pacts.org.uk/safe-system</a></p><p>You can find ProjectEDWARD in the following places:</p><p>Website:<a href="https://projectedward.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> https://projectedward.org/</a></p><p>Twitter: <a href="https://twitter.com/ProjectEdward" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://twitter.com/ProjectEdward</a></p><p>Facebook: <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ProjectEDWARDRoadSafety" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.facebook.com/ProjectEDWARDRoadSafety</a></p><p>LinkedIn:<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/projectedward/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> https://www.linkedin.com/company/projectedward/</a></p><p>Instagram: <a href="https://www.instagram.com/projectedward/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.instagram.com/projectedward/</a></p><p>YouTube:<a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFYfytnzfKvX90TmkX2_LDQ" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFYfytnzfKvX90TmkX2_LDQ</a></p>
