Sharon Withers - Living with cancer through inner Wisdom

Sharon Withers is soon to be 57 years young. In 2009 she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. After a drug regime, extensive chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, she achieved complete remission and lived a normal and active life until a recent relapse of the condition. Essentially the treatment regime she has just completed was and has been exactly the same, gruelling. On the news of her relapse she experienced disbelief followed by an abject fear. However, 10 years on and with more understanding around what awareness and consciousness is, she came to realise that her feelings were a projection of her thought process around the reoccurence and not experiential. At that particular point, she realised she was "feeling" her thoughts around something that, other than in her head, hadn't even occurred. That insight allowed her to 100 percent choose to either continue to suffer those feelings or allow what was going to unfold and to just go with it. She chose the latter. Sharon says “I am human, I have my moments but overall I'm more at peace because I experience rather than think.” Sharon has once again achieved complete remission.
