<p>A special edition of popular Radio Blue Mountains arts program ARTHouse where Julie Ankers talks to the first of a series of MAX21 Artisans about their practice in the Blue Mountains.</p> <p>Louise Bickerton owns and runs Blue Mountains Lavender which is located in picturesque Little Hartley, a 2-hour drive from the CBD of Sydney. The farm sits at 800m altitude grows 8 types of lavender that she and her partner distill for essential oil, then hand-make body care and lifestyle products that they sell on their website. Farm visits ONLY in Nov/Dec each year when the lavender is in flower but they will be exhibiting in October at the Artisan Fair at the Fairmont Resort which is part of BMCAN's Mountains Arts Xpo in October.</p> <p>max21.com.au</p>
