Friendships: How do you make friends as an adult?

One of the things we hear a lot as adults is "it's hard to make friends." Sure, it can be but what we have learned in our own experience is that most of us are in the same boat. Most of us want to make or have more friends as an adult. Whether it's a friend to lean on hard times or someone to do the same things you like to do, friends are important.

Unfortunately we can't just buy them on Amazon like everything else so where do you find them? In this episode, we talk about our experiences of making and having friends from childhood to adulthood, where we have found friends and how we make them. If you've ever thought it's hard to make friends as an adult, this is definitely an episode for you.

If you listen and like this episode, we would much appreciate if you share a *friend* lol and let us know what you liked!

You can hang out with us on IG as @cbober and @emily_m_garrett.

It's okay to take a BREAK!

A world so heavily rooted in productivity, taking a break can feel like you put yourself behind, like you are being lazy or something that you need to feel guilty for. When really, taking a break can be just as beneficial, it can give space to create, to breathe, to heal and to evaluate what you want to do next. Sometimes we just need a break because the inspiration isn’t there or the energy and we need to recharge. Other times life can get messy and in the way of other things. Taking a break can be really good for your mental and physical health. We discuss more on what breaks do for us, why we take them and how to deal with the guilt that can be around them. We also talk about when it’s time to move again and how to get back into the flow again of taking action.

Come hang out with at @cbober and @emily_m_garrett!

Thank your for listening, liking, sharing and rating this podcast. We appreciate you more than you know!

Episode thumbnail for What feelings are you supposed to feel?

March 17, 2022

What feelings are you supposed to feel?

When it comes to big experiences, changes, moves, new things coming in and things leaving, there are feelings we think, or are encouraged to “feel”. Something happens and you think “ I should feel this way about it." Something good happens and you’re "supposed" to feel happy, something bad happens and you’re “supposed" to feel sad. But what about when you don’t feel those things? What about when you feel the opposite or just something different? People ask how you feel in a certain tone and you don’t match it, then what? We talk about those feelings and navigating situations when what you’re supposed to feel doesn’t match what you really feel. Then get into really feeling you’re actual feelings around your personal experience rather than masking or trying to make yourself feel something different. Your feelings and your experience are valid. You get to feel one thing or all things that feels right to you in YOUR moment.

P.S. Hang out till the end for a fun add-on from Emily's boyfriend.

Thanks for listening, liking, rating, downloading, and sharing. We love you.

Come hang with us on IG at @cbober and @emily_m_garrett
