Don't Waste the Wait!
Yes, we're experiencing an unprecedented time! I will never minimize the drastic impact the pandemic has on our lives. This season has disrupted and interrupted. I've held my pity party (a few times), continue to pray over my fellow healthcare heroes, essential workers, families, businesses, and whole communities. I've also realized there's something incredibly precious about what we "get" to do in the wait-CREATE. I'm encouraging you to not waste the wait! Don't spend anymore time lamenting over what you can't control. While the outdoors are closed spend time working on the inside. Stop rushing back to the "normal" you were trying to escape before the pandemic. Create something new, in your life, in your family, in your work, in your business. Use the heck out of this time so that when we get to go back outside again we're showing up as new creatures-more mindful of just how precious the seemingly small things are. Recognizing that the ordinary is extraordinary.

Atiya gets kicked out of the grocery store
Come join me in the living room on this rainy evening. I’m cuddled up on the couch with Nemo by my side. I apologize in advance for his snoring. He’s an old man and my loving companion dog. There’s so much fear, angst, sadness and other heavy emotions in the world and sometimes, even with good intentions you don’t always show up in the world with loving kindness. Hear how I managed to get kicked out of a grocery store and what lesson I gleaned from the experience.

Whose Living Room: Excerpt from the upcoming book, A Life Worth Saving: A Nurse's Journey from Sickness to Healing

Welcome to Season one, episode one of Atiya's Living Room! On today's episode I'm going to share the significance of Atiya's Living Room and why I honor this sacred gathering space for us. Although everyone is welcome, ladies you have such a special place here with me. It was because of you Atiya's Living Room became a place of refuge, renewal, and release. Remember to grab your favorite beverage and get comfy. Today I'm enjoying a hot cup of Golden Tea (turmeric latte) and have on what my hubby Tim calls my strange, Unicorn Narwahl slippers, simply because they make me feel magical!

Post episode questions:

1. Have you ever had an experience you knew was meant to be shared with others or connected with people in a way you want to experience again?

2. Have you ever heard from someone you didn't know who was touched by something you said?

3. Have you ever taken a risk that made you feel vulnerable?

4.
