Manu, Renan und der Spanische Vallan – Wie Kultur auf dem Land lebendig bleibt
Kultur auf dem Land ist nicht tot! Das beweist ein Festival, das einmal jährlich im niederrheinischen Städtchen Rheinberg stattfindet, das ein generationenübergreifenden Publikum anzieht, keinen Eintritt kostet und lokalen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern, wie auch Menschen mit weiterer Anreise im dortigen Stadtpark für ein Wochenende eine Bühne bietet und Kultur genießen lässt. Manu und Renan haben es ins Leben gerufen, organisieren es und müssen sich inzwischen keine Sorgen machen, um ihr Line-up voll zu kriegen. KPiP – so die offizielle Bezeichnung fürs Festival – steht allerdings nicht nur für Kultur-Projekt im Park, sondern hat auch eine andere Bedeutung. Davon – wie auch von ihrer Tätigkeit in der Lokalpolitik und auch von ihrem Leben als Künstler:innen – erzählen sie in dieser Podcast-Ausgabe. Und wer sich selbst von KPiP überzeugen lassen will, kann es tun und am Wochenende 7. bis 9. Juni 2024 nach Rheinberg kommen und das Zelt mitnehmen.

Gretes Töchter – die Genossenschaftsband aus München
Stellt euch mal vor, ihr wohnt alle in dem selben Wohngebiet, der Vermieter stellt euch einen Proberaum, eine Location, in der ihr auftreten könnt – und für eure Kinder ist auch immer gesorgt, wenn ihr gerade musiziert. Ja, sowas gibt es. Und dann auch noch im teuren München. In Nordschwabing hat eine Wohngenossenschaft diese Möglichkeiten den Familien, die dort wohnen, ermöglicht. Und bald nach dem Einzug haben sich auch vier Frauen gefunden, um davon zu profitieren: Maggie, Margret, Gretchen und Gretel haben ihre Band gegründet mit dem Namen "Gretes Töchter", benannt nach der Architekturpionierin Grete Lihotzky.
