He is a full member of the Horror Writers Association and a lifetime member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Association.</p><p><em>Darkness Blooms</em></p><p><strong>James Bryant</strong> is an actor, comedian, musician, writer, audio engineer, promoter, and event coordinator. An Elgin Award nominee, his work has appeared in Volume 1 of the Literary Parrot and Gnashing Teeth Publishing. Other works include four ebooks featuring his dark haiku: <em>In the Dead of Night, You Dark Up My Life, Suffer for Supper</em>, and <em>In a World of Hurt</em>, published by Project 89 Media. His first full-length hardcover, also published by Project 89 Media, <em>Dark Haikus Complete</em>, was released this year. He's busy at work featuring more of his dark haiku, paired with both music and AI-generated images. He's the founder and host of <em>SpoFest</em>, an online and in-person series for writers to promote their original work. She has had work published in <em>Space & Time, Siren’s Call, Carnage House</em>, and the second volume of the anthology <em>Horrorscope</em>, where she relished the opportunity to write about a bookstore with a coffee shop, a suspicious old dog, and vengeful Egyptian gods. She is currently working on a novel about the mob, ancient overlords, and global warming, a book of poetry about sea creatures and heartbreak, and a novella about a haunted boat. She founded and chairs the Heartland chapter of the Horror Writers Association, and also occasionally blogs about liminal spaces.
