Cannes Hangout with Joey and Myles Alongside a 'Star Wars' Ranking #292

For episode 292, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski working behind the scenes on Emmy season content and, of course, TV Topics. This time around, we opted to record during the awards ceremony for the Cannes Film Festival. So, it's a Cannes hangout, where we talk about the festival's movies, as well as play some games related to previous award winners, while awaiting the Palme d'Or result, which ended up being Fjord. You can see all of what won here and my predictions (alongside Robert Hamer's) here. Additionally, we rank the Star Wars entries, drifting off of my new ranking here. It's a nice little episode, as we cruise towards episode 300, which will mark some changes. Stay tuned there, but for now, enjoy this one...

As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 292nd one to date (here’s to many more). Of course, feel free to revisit the previous installments by clicking the Podcast tab (here) on the top of the page. Plus, listen to us on Apple Podcasts (iTunes), Spotify, and other platforms. More to come each and every single week, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening!

'The Mandalorian and Grogu' and 'Power Ballad' + Some Cannes Award Speculation

For episode 291, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski working behind the scenes on Emmy season content and, of course, TV Topics. Programming note: while this episode is a normal one, next week's episode is being recorded right around this one and won't reflect anything that happens this weekend or next week. Just keep that in mind. As for this one, we spend a bit of time talking about Star Wars, since my review (here) of The Mandalorian and Grogu went up a few days ago. I also give my thoughts on Power Ballad, while Myles chimes in on The Sheep Detectives. Throw in your questions, as well as some late chatter about the actors rumored to be auditioning for James Bond, and it's a very solid episode. Apologies for my voice, as there's some seasonal allergies at play, but we work around it, for you. You're welcome, folks (I kid).

Conan O'Brien Returning as Oscar Host, Tackle New Releases, and Answer Questions - #290

For episode 290, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski working behind the scenes on Emmys and TV Topics. This time around, we've got Oscar news in Conan O'Brien returning to host the Academy Awards, as well as more on the rule changes AMPAS has instituted. Some of your questions factor into those rules as well, alongside one that leads us back to talk about Ari Aster's Eddington (my review is here, while my interview with Aster is here), with Myles having just caught up with the film. I also talk about two new release movies, which are Driver's Ed (reviewed here and interview with director Bobby Farrelly here) and Obsession (reviewed here). We tackle plenty on this episode, so strap in...

As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 290th one to date (here’s to many more).
