Awesome Kingston Podcast Trailer

Have you heard of Awesome Kingston? We’re a group of 10 + volunteers from across Kingston that love our community, and are committed to giving $100 a month from our own pocket to make a $1,000 microgrant that we give away to a person, group, or initiative that’s trying to make Kingston more awesome. When I first joined the group it was described to me as funding for the unfundable, which is pretty accurate because we see everyone from juggling groups to kids wanting to sell ice cream to small businesses looking to launch a new product or marketing initiative.

On this podcast we’re going to profile the groups who are invited to pitch at our monthly pitch party, including the $1,000 winner, and highlight the good work they’re doing in our community. You’ll get to learn about some awesome people doing awesome things in our city who maybe fly under the radar sometimes, and are looking for more support. Subscribe to our monthly podcast for these great stories, and you can always find us on Facebook and Twitter at Awesome Kingston, and on our website at www.awesomekingston.org. We’ll try not to say awesome a million times because it’s one of those things that just kind of happens when we talk about Awesome Kingston, but no promises.
