by Wendi Starling
After being told by doctors that she might never be able to conceive, the notoriously wild Wendi Starling got knocked up at the ripe young age of 40 and is using this podcast as her real-time (and real honest) geriatric pregnancy journal.

Hey Everyone.

Thank you for all of your sweet messages and support. It's been 2 weeks and still doesn't feel real, but I guess that's to be expected when life-altering euphoria and heartbreak come clamoring down on you with mere seconds of each other. I'll be back with more clarity and details next week. Take care of yourself and I'll talk to ya soon xo Wendi

Hello Preggos and Preggo Enthusiasts! After last week's hotel mash-up, we're back on the real time track and talking the day before my very first OBGYN appointment. The past week has been the wildest ride yet because I had the BIGGEST emotional meltdown which was immediately followed my the first- and fiercely realistic- baby dream, PLUS I am implementing a new routine to ensure that I don't completely lose my sense of self once I my little one gets here and into my arms. Not sure if this new routine will work -it's my first time with the whole Wife & Mom thing- but it's worth a shot. And, I thought it might be fun to try this as a group activity, so pay attention towards the end and see if you wanna join forces and dedicate one hour a week to just screwing around and having fun. Hope you're having a good week so far! As always, thank you for being here and thank you for being you xo

***LINKS***

Find the show on Instagram: @wendistarlingtalks

Find me on Instagram: @wendi.starling

Find me on TikTok: @wendistarling

Find me on Patreon: patreon.com/wendistarling

Contact me: wendistarling.com

***

International Suicide Helpline Info: findahelpline.com

US national suicide hotline: 800-273-8255

Hey there sweet Mamas!

Today we're paying attention to the words we think and speak about ourselves, specifically about our bodies, faces and appearance in general. If you are like me, it's been (and continues to be lol) a daily adventure in adjusting to my ever-changing body and an even BIGGER adventure to notice, navigate and knock out all the negative self-talk I seem to spew into my brain and out of my mouth without even realizing it's happening. I literally repeated "You're not a Monster, You're a MIRACLE" into the mirror over and over until the crying turned to laughing then into genuine peace and loving self acceptance. Highly recommend that as an affirmation if you're feeling as frustrated and grotesque as I have felt recently. Remember, we are not alone in anything anymore. The best way to teach someone a lesson is to lead by example, so let's start showing our kiddo how to love themselves unconditionally by giving ourselves the same gift. Like, right now. You are beautiful and perfect exactly as you are. Start loving yourself the way you want to love your child. It can be tough to retrain our brains but trust me, it's totally worth it. You and your little one are totally worth it. Thanks for being here. You're killin' it. Talk soon xx

IF YOU WANNA FIND ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA:

TikTok: @wendistarling

Instagram: @hey.its.wendi @wendi.starling
