Podcast Overview

Chuck Stead is a Story Teller, author and college professor from the Ramapo Mountain Region of lower New York State. These are his stories of a happy, curious, and eventful childhood amongst the mountains, streams, and streets of the village known as Hillburn, New York. Here we meet Chuck's family and friends through stories passed down from his elders as well as those experienced by the author himself. Some are the sweet and funny experiences of a young boy in the hopeful 1950's and turbulent sixties. Others are deeply moving and meaningful memories that will live in your thoughts for years to come. All of them will leave you wanting for more. Each week on Friday Morning we'll add a new Chapter/Episode followed by a short musical break and then Chuck will chat about the episode with a guest or two. Some might even be the real life people upon which his stories and characters are based. We hope you'll enjoy these after episode chats and share these podcasts with family and friends.
