People from African descent. People from Africa. Cornerstone of any system on this world, yet still struggling, devalued, diminished and divided. Divided in our own beliefs, actions and lack of self-awareness of our worth, we continue blaming and expecting instead of speaking with one voice. Backbone wants to shed the light on all these paradoxes, help be part of the solution and have some old good laugh.

But after thinking about it, I asked myself, how many of us have used the word poor to describe ourselves so often? Then I wanted to know, are we really poor? In my situation, am I really coming from a poor background?
