Mighty Foundation (pt.5) - Bamboo Lovers Experience

Welcome back! Today we continue our Foundation series with a powerful focus on the theme of "Mighty Foundation." Reverend Eben takes us deeper into the essential topic of loving God, emphasizing that it is one of the most powerful foundations for a life that is blessed and aligned with God's purpose. Drawing from Matthew 22:36-37, we're reminded of the commandment to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind." This foundation is pivotal because loving God isn't just a feeling; it's a choice to prioritize Him over everything else in our lives.

Reverend Eben addresses how we can protect this love and reveals the enemies that threaten our devotion to God:

1. Iniquity (Sin) - Sin is a major enemy of loving God. Matthew 24:12 warns that because iniquity will be rampant, the love of many will grow cold. We must be cautious not to allow sin to turn our hearts away from God.

2. Pleasure - 2 Timothy 3:4 speaks of those who are "lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God." Loving the pleasures of this world can dull our desire and passion for God.

3. Worldliness - 1 John 2:15 tells us not to love the world or the things in it, for if we do, the love of the Father is not in us. We are called to choose God's ways over worldly temptations and distractions.

4. Yourself (The Flesh) - Our greatest enemy can sometimes be ourselves. Our flesh often fights against our spirit, tempting us to pursue comfort and sin over obedience to God. Galatians 5:17 describes this struggle as a battle between the flesh and the spirit.

These are the foundational truths that we must hold onto as we build a strong and unshakeable love for God. If you desire to see God’s power, favor, and blessing manifest in your life, this message is a must-listen!

Mighty Foundation (pt.2) - Bamboo Lovers Experience

Welcome back! Today, we continue our teachings, shifting from Solid Foundations to explore Mighty Foundations. Reverend Eben takes us deeper into the life-altering topic of honoring our parents, which remains a powerful and mighty foundation for a life blessed by God

Building on last week's message, Reverend Eben delves deeper into why this principle is so crucial. Drawing from key scriptures, he reminds us of the commandment from Exodus 20:12: “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” This is not just a suggestion but a divine mandate with a promise — a promise of longevity and well-being.

However, what happens when we fail to honor our parents? Reverend Eben outlines several serious consequences that arise from dishonoring our parents:

1. Dishonor results in demonic invasion in your life — As Jesus Himself said in John 8:49-50: “I have not a devil; but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.” When we dishonor our parents, we open doors for spiritual attacks and demonic influences in our lives.

2. Dishonor results in obscure darkness — Proverbs 20:20 warns us, “If someone curses their father or mother, their lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness.” Dishonoring our parents leads us into spiritual blindness and confusion.

3. Dishonor results in being replaced — When we fail to honor those God has placed over us, we risk being replaced, losing opportunities, and seeing our destiny handed to others.

4. Dishonor means you will likely be dishonored — 1 Samuel 2:30 says, “Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.” The principle of sowing and reaping applies to how we treat our parents; dishonor will bring dishonor back upon us.

5. Dishonor results in not seeing the power of God — Mark 6:2-5 records how Jesus could not perform many miracles in His hometown because the people dishonored Him. When we dishonor those God has set over us, it blocks the flow of divine power and blessing in our lives.

As we continue today’s sermon, Reverend Eben will teach us how honoring our parents is not just an earthly responsibility but a mighty foundation that underpins our spiritual, emotional, and even financial stability.
