Gender Identities and Social Inclusion
In conversation with diversity and inclusion expert , Mr. Akshay Tyagi from Keshav Suri Foundation , an initiative of Lalit group of hotels. We converse over creating an equitable place accepting and welcoming diversity. We discuss the hits and misses of the Transgender Persons Act with a hope that international standards are mapped in place someday. At the end , we conclude that each and every being has a right to live with dignity irrespective of how they identify themselves which in true sense would reinstate the ideals of equality inscribed in the constitution. Divorce : Not a Vice !
Divorce isn't such a tragedy , nobody ever died of divorce ! In Conversation with Ms. Nandita Rao , Additional Standing Counsel (Cri) Govt. Of Delhi, we talk about the Divorce laws in India and the many taboos prefixed with it. We assess the domestic violence statistics which has risen sharply during the pandemic and it's in toto effect on the divorce petitions being filed. We walk through the process of mutual and contested divorce and discuss how the courts have brought about a positive change with expansion of the term cruelty to include marital rape thus writing it in black and white that consent matters ! While discussing the progressive changes in muslim divorce law we discuss how mediation has evolved and it's role in saving an irrevertible breakdown of marriage. Studying the portrayal of divorced protagonists on screen we trace it's effect on societal perception of divorce.

Starting our dialogue from the issue of whether self regulation for media is enough to tackle the woes of fake news , sensationalism and biased journalism we stop on the next milestone to debate on the issue of yellow journalism and the trp race , we further draw an analysis of how the polarization of news channels blurs the thin line between freedom of press and control on free speech. On our final stop we examine whether media trial is a bad word ? Was the Sushant Rajput case highlighted to divert the attention from an ongoing pandemic ? Lastly we take notes on how much should we absorb from a news channel.
