Episode 3: Language and violence
<p>In this episode we hear from Carly Hancock, a teacher on the Bachelor of Community Services, about language and violence. Carly speaks from her extensive experience in child protection, working with mental health, complex trauma and domestic violence. This podcast discusses the language used by the media, the legal system, practitioners and the general public to represent the actions of people who choose to use violence and those who experience violence. Episode 2: Sexuality education in the Pacific
<p>This episode we talk to Mark Morris, who teaches Community development work and international aid for the Bachelor of Community Services from his home in Thailand. Mark works for Family Planning Australia on a program funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Pacific, called Family Life Education in Samoa and Kiribati. This program is a human rights-based and gender-focused approach to sexuality education in the Pacific.</p>

Anny Druett, teacher from the Bachelor of Community Services and Beth Evans the course coordinator talk about the call for reform and what it means for students and workers in the community services industry. Anny is a descendant of the Ngemba mob from Brewarrina in north western NSW. She is inspired and motivated by her grandmother, Aboriginal Activist Pearl Gibbs.</p>
