<p>Hello Everyone Today i am going to talk</p> <p>about one of the bravest person on earth&nbsp;</p> <p>his name heard everywhere</p> <p>Capt. Vikram Batra</p> <p>i am going to tell you his story&nbsp;</p> <p>Are you ready to go thou his eventfull life?</p> <p>Lets begin!</p> <p>Born in the year 1974 in a the hill station&nbsp;</p> <p>of palampur</p> <p>vikram was a talented and brave child</p> <p>he always wanted to be in the army&nbsp;</p> <p>even thou noone in his family was in the army</p> <p>he always wanted to be a solider</p> <p>and he accomplished his goal.</p> <p>3 May 1999</p> <p>The Kargil War was called, also known&nbsp;</p> <p>as the Kargil conflict, was an armed</p> <p>conflict fought between</p> <p>India and Pakistan from May to July 1999&nbsp;</p> <p>in the Kargil district&nbsp;</p> <p>of Jammu and Kashmir and elsewhere along&nbsp;</p> <p>the Line of Control</p> <p>between this war vikram batra's team was</p> <p>called to capture point 5140</p> <p>now lets talk about capturing the point 5140</p> <p>Point 5140, about 1500 metres north of&nbsp;</p> <p>Tololing on the same ridgeline, is at an&nbsp;</p> <p>altitude of 16,962 feet above sea level&nbsp;</p> <p>and overlooks the Tololing nullah. It is</p> <p>the highest point on the Tololing ridgeline</p> <p>and the most formidable feature in the</p> <p>Dras sub-sector.</p> <p>Drass is a place in kashmir it is the 2nd</p> <p>coldest place on earth with temp going</p> <p>up to 60.C!</p> <p>and surviving this temp. is a great thing to</p> <p>archive.</p> <p>but capt. vikram batra fought a war at this temp.</p> <p>and at a hight of 1500 metres they won!</p> <p>now after captureing this point the&nbsp;</p> <p>army told batra to take a leave and&nbsp;</p> <p>said we have appointed another team to</p> <p>capture the point 4875, but our brave captain</p> <p>insisted the army to allow their team to capture</p> <p>4875 after some hesitation</p> <p>batra was given permission</p> <p>to capture 4875 as well</p> <p>and that was written in his fate</p> <p>to die</p> <p>late night batras team or may i say shershahs team was geeting ready to climb up a hill to reach 4875</p> <p>so shershah is batras given code name</p> <p>so as i was saying batra and his team started climbing with ammunation a radio and weopons aroung midnight they reached 4875 hid behind rocks</p> <p>and thew grenades at the camps&nbsp;</p> <p>the firing started half of the pak army was dead the others hid and started firing too but a team of 8 vs a team of 24 hid behind bunkers was a tough fight!</p> <p>firing was not stoping</p> <p>a doctor was with the team and went to rescue a injured army man but he got shoot in the process of doing this batra saw the doctor shoot and ran to save him he was carrying him to a shelter</p> <p>but batra got shot but batra didnt lose hope he ran straigt to the bunker even thou he got shot and threw a grenade straigt into it multiple bullets were shot at him but at the end pak army was dead</p> <p>a decreased batra lay on the ground&nbsp;</p> <p>his team shouting of victory with tears rolling down their cheeks the victory signal was given and that was the last of him</p> <p>after batras death he was awared with the paramvir chakra</p> <p>The Param Vir Chakra is India's highest military decoration</p> <p>i hope you liked this podcast!</p> <p><br></p> <p>JAI HIND.</p>
