<p><strong>November 20th is Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day where we take the time to honor the trans people who have lost their lives in the fight for justice, for simply being trans. Stigmatization and fear is used to justify violence, and this is something that cannot be ignored in our communities. We would like to dedicate this episode to Brooklyn Deshauna Smith, a 20 y/o trans woman who was shot and killed in Shreveport last month. To her family and friends, we offer our deepest condolences. Shreveport close to all of us involved in this podcast, so her loss hits close to home.
