Podcast Overview

Society has led us to believe that being an alcoholic is an unattractive character flaw and unlikely to be a young, successful woman in the prime of her life. But this is the problem – I never considered that I had an issue with alcohol, because I didn’t look like those people in the ads. I wasn’t destitute, I wasn't middle aged and going through a divorce, and I definitely didn't go through a bottle of gin each day. I just liked alcohol, sure maybe I drank it too much or maybe I drank too much of it in one sitting, but I didn’t have an issue with it and I definitely wasn’t an alcoholic. This podcast is a journey through my alcoholic haze to understand what alcohol dependency looks like in this day and age and how I eventually overcame it.
