147 ECTA Convention 2026 und die Pipeline-Krise
Wir nehmen diese Folge live auf der ECTA Convention 2026 in Frankfurt auf — und steigen mit einer ernüchternden Zahl ein: Von rund 500 ECTA-Mitgliedern sind nur 61 vor Ort. Martin nennt das die „Pipeline-Krise". Wir fragen uns, warum man überhaupt zu einer Convention fährt und warum die Entscheidung dagegen offenbar so leicht fällt. Für uns gehört zur Aufgabe eines Callers mehr, als den Tänzern an einem Clubabend eine gute Zeit zu gestalten. Genauso wichtig ist es, sie so vorzubereiten, dass sie auch außerhalb des eigenen Clubs tanzen können — und dafür müssen wir Square Dance als Ganzes im Blick behalten. Das Synchronisieren mit der Szene, das Gespür dafür, was anderswo passiert, findet hier statt: auf einer Convention, im Austausch mit anderen Callern. Am Ende drehen wir den Krisen-Befund um. Das Pipeline-Problem sind nicht die anderen und nicht die ECTA als Verband — es sind wir selbst. Daraus folgt eine konkrete Selbstverpflichtung: Zur nächsten Convention bringt jeder von uns jemanden mit, der noch nicht oder lange nicht mehr dabei war.
