[…] So that was one where, again, we are zero lot line, and we're literally inches away from our neighbor's foundation. And when we began excavating, we discovered that the neighbor's foundations were actually higher than ours. And the soil there is very sandy. And if we were to have proceeded with full excavation, we would have undermined their building, which could have been catastrophic. So we had to survey the foundation, get an engineer to come up with a solution for underpinning and shoring, which was called permeation grouting. The permeation grouting has been done, executed. And what the permeation grouting does is it basically turns sand into sandstone. […]
