<p>Welcome all to the <strong>Chicago Suburban Podcast</strong>! This podcast will discuss <strong>current events</strong>,<strong> things to do</strong>, <strong>family activities</strong>, <strong>"hot topics" within local communities</strong> and any <strong>other local happenings around town</strong>. We will also interview<strong> interesting residents, local business owners</strong> and <strong>people who work around town</strong> who are making a difference everyday. Feel free to contact me with any interesting content or potential interviews of people you know that would like their voice heard.</p> <p>This is episode 1 of the<strong> Chicago Suburban Podcast</strong>. I was honestly just trying to figure out Garageband and wasn't planning on recording! The sound isn't great and there is a lot of background noise but it will get better. I was recording late at night at the firehouse and the room was far from quiet. </p> <p>In this first episode I discuss Covid-19, what I'm seeing as a first responder and future episodes of the Chicago Suburban Podcast. </p> <p>I'm <strong>Dan Meyers</strong>, the host of the <strong>Chicago Suburban Podcast</strong>. I've lived in Schaumburg for 20 years with my wife and two boys. Before living in Schaumburg I lived in Elk Grove Village and Des Plaines...so I've been living in the Northwest Suburbs a long time. I've been a<strong> Firefighter/Paramedic</strong> for 15 years and I'm also a <strong>Real Estate Investor and Broker</strong>. My main goal of this podcast is to <strong>spotlight local people</strong> and business around the suburbs and get news out on local topics, current events and discuss all there is to see and do out in the 'burbs!
