They say moving home is one of the most stressful events in life. But imagine moving home multiple times every year. And that you are a child that has experienced terrible trauma already, for which you have received no mental health support. This is the experience of too many 'looked after children' in the care system, despite the dedication of so many professionals who themselves often pay a high price in their own wellbeing. But Hugh Thornberry CBE, Chair of Become and Chance UK, and a leading senior figure in the sector, believes that despite challenges, there are many reasons to be optimistic.
