Episode 2 "The Lord is My Light"
<p>Thanks for tuning in to “Children of Light”. In today’s podcast we will listen to“The Lord is My Light.” Make sure to check out the podcast notes for some ideas on how to keep children engaged during the songs. Next we will talk about finding peace in our troubled world and listen to the song, “Peace in Christ”. Then our special guest will share a scripture. Finally I’ll share one of my favorite poems.</p> <p>Joseph Wirthlin said, “Jesus wants every one of us to know him because of the transforming power of that knowledge and because of the indescribable joy it brings into our lives. But the influence of the gospel is to extend beyond each individual. It is to be as a light that dispels the darkness from the lives of those around us.” (Let Your Light So Shine Joseph B. The closer we grow to Him the brighter His light shines in our lives. His spirit will speak peace to our souls. He said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27</p> <p>This week think about how has Christ brought peace to your life. How can you share that peace with others?</p> <p>Now we have a special guest from Washington. Interview with Connor.</p> <p>Thank you Connor! That scripture is a great reminder that Heavenly Father wants us to be happy, His plan is even called the Plan of Happiness. The sun, fireflies… how many sources of light can you think of? List or draw pictures of light sources as you listen to “The Lord is My Light”.
