<p>In Episode 15 of How We Begin we dive into our conversation with a drama therapist from Thailand, Sarinrat “Jear” Thomas.</p><p>Recognized as Thailand’s very first drama therapist, Jear’s journey began in the television industry before 2000. She later transitioned into drama therapy, reshaping both her professional and personal identity. Along the way, she has carried many roles — artist, educator, pioneer, and mother.</p><p>This episode explores what it means to step into the unknown: leaving behind fame and stability to open new paths for mental health in Thailand, and using theatre as a way to heal both self and others.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Guest:</strong></p><p><strong>Sarinrat Thomas</strong>, known as Jear, is the first drama therapist in Thailand. After a successful career in television, she transitioned into drama therapy and has been a pioneer in the field for over 20 years. Jear bridges art, theatre, and healing, while connecting drama therapy communities across Asia.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Host: </strong></p><p><strong>Clara </strong>a drama therapist graduated from NYU in 2024, founder and president of MOU Theatre at NYU, former vice president of CFan Chinese Theatre Club at UCLA. She graduated from UCLA in 2020 with a MA in Psychology and a minor in Statistics. Clara is a quasi-artist, an actress, a fitness trainer, and as an international student, she speaks Mandarin and English.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Editing : </strong></p><p><strong>Jessie </strong>is a theatre educations practitioner who believes in the power of stories and presence. She is constantly navigating the possibilities and imaginations beyond texts and words. </p>
