[…] The players take control of either Kirk or First Officer Spock and investigates a theft of a terraforming device from the colony of New Vulcan by the Gorn. The game was a critical disaster, but at least it inspired composer Chad Sider to write a brilliant score which combines his own original music and expands on the ideas and themes from Michael Giacchino's score for the Calvin Timeline films. Sider wrote 120 minutes of music written for a 120-piece orchestra. Now, some of the variations on Giacchino's Trek themes are even better than what Giacchino ever did with his own themes. And Sider even came up with his own melodies, like a major one for the Helios Space Station. […]
