Cockney & Son

About Cockney & Son

Cockney & Son: Two Generations, One London is what happens when I sit down with my straight-talking, old-school Londoner dad to try and make sense of the world we’re living in today. From parenting and politics to prices and pronouns, nothing’s off-limits — and trust me, nothing gets sugar-coated. We see life through two very different lenses, but it’s all grounded in laughs, honest opinions, and the kind of unfiltered banter only a father and son can get away with. Whether you remember phone boxes or need subtitles when he starts chatting, this one’s for you.

Could you really work FIVE full-time jobs

Send us Fan Mail Could you really work FIVE full-time jobs at the same time without anyone noticing? 👀 This week on Cockney & Son, we’re getting into the unbelievable story of a civil servant currently on trial, accused of working multiple full-time public-sector jobs at the same time, at one point allegedly being contracted for 183 hours of work a week! He denies all nine counts of fraud and the allegations have not been proven. That gets us talking about working from home: are people ac...

Brexit? Are we In or Out

Send us Fan Mail Things get a little political on Cockney & Son this week… With Britain and the EU back in the conversation, me and Dad get stuck into Brexit, whether the UK could ever rejoin the EU and, most importantly, whether either of us would vote differently if there was another referendum. Then it’s time for What D’Ya Reckon? as Dad tries to guess the top three things people think they’re better at than they actually are from driving and multitasking to pretending you know what yo...
