[…] In the weeks and months following Lisa's disappearance, police checked the alibis of hundreds of owners of Holden and Ford panel vans in Western Australia, but found no link for any of them to Collie on the evening of October 30, 1980. For nearly 45 years the focus of the Lisa Mott Police investigation has been finding that yellow panel van and of course Lisa's remains. Detective Sergeant Greg Dowding is the senior investigating officer for the Lisa Mott investigation at Cole Case. He's been a police officer for 38 years, 32 as a detective. On the day we published part two of the Lisa Mott podcast in early November last year, the Cold Case Investigation Squad set up a mobile police facility in Collie to have a physical presence in the town and to be in a position to speak to community members in person.
