[…] We've got Ampol in focus again. Now, it has received an upgrade by a broker. The fuel refiner is up more than 50% now since the conflict in the Middle East escalated in February because of those fuel shortages in the region, which basically just meant that margins and profits rose quite aggressively. But one of the strongest performers of the day is Global Lithium Resources. It's a smaller listed lithium company, and is up 50% or so. Now, that's because it's entered an agreement to be acquired for $1.15 per share, which values the company at about $333 million. And that's a 73% premium to what the shares were trading at back on Friday. […]
