[…] We have 27 amendments. All of them came through the first way under Article 5, which is Congress proposes amendments. and puts them out for ratification. The problem with that is Congress will never propose amendments that limits their own power. They'll never propose term limits, which the American people want or a balanced budget or limiting the Supreme court. The things that the American people really want, Congress will never do because generally it takes away their power. So we use the second clause of Article 5 to try and impose those things. It takes 34 states to call a convention. So far, 20 states have done that. […]
