Current Trends in Education with Dr. Diaz Special Guest Michael Eddy and Wesley Locke
Mike Eddy is the Principal at Malcom Bridge Middle School in Oconee County Georgia. Prior to coming to Oconee County, he was employed by Henry County Schools since 2001, and also served as the district’s Title I coordinator as well as the fine arts coordinator. Prior to his service in Henry, Eddy worked as a music teacher and director of bands in the Clayton and Fulton county school systems. Wesley Locke is the Principal at Spring Creek Charter School in Paisley, Lake County, Florida. He has been at his current school since 2001, teaching K-8 music until 2010. Wes then became the school’s Assistant Principal. In 2015, he was appointed as Principal of Spring Creek Charter School.

For over 40 years Dr. Jones has studied highly successful teachers - the "naturals" - to see how they make success look easy. Dr. Jones most recent book, Tools for Teaching, offers an updated description of classroom management enriched by two decades of teacher training. Patrick has been working with Fred since the mid-nineties and giving workshops since 2006. Since Fred retired in 2014, Patrick has been the lead trainer. He has worked side-by-side with Dr. Jones to produce all of the materials currently published on FredJones.com including Tools for Teaching and The Study Group Activity Guide. Current Trends in Education with Dr. Diaz Special guest Dr. Jim Knight
Jim Knight is a research associate at the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning. He has spent more than two decades studying instructional coaching, writing several books on the topic. Jim’s articles on instructional coaching have been included in publications such as The Journal of Staff Development, Principal Leadership, The School Administrator, and Teachers Teaching Teachers. Jim directs several research projects, including Pathways to Success, a comprehensive, district-wide school reform project in the Topeka, Kansas, School District. Jim also leads the Intensive Instructional Coaching Institutes and the Teaching Learning Coaching annual conference. Jim has presented and consulted in more than 40 states, most Canadian provinces, and around the world. He has also won several university teaching, innovation, and service awards.
