Certain uncertainities

In this episode I discuss the reality of our existence basing it off of Cartesian skepticism, using The Truman Show (1998) to move it along more colourfully. How can we be sure we exist? Can we be sure? You do exist, but there are some things that we might never know about how we exist. the world is ur oyster (?)

In this episode I address the sudden uncalled-for existentialism that comes with figuring out our purpose (is there one?). Isn't it curious how all of nature bar humans come into this world fully aware of what their life's purpose is? I also (very) briefly touch on some philosophical concepts by Sartre, Nietzsche and Descartes but the main idea is for you to come to your own conclusion.

More on Sartre's 'Bad Faith': https://medium.com/@aakashpydi/jean-paul-sartre-the-concept-of-bad-faith-and-its-role-in-ethical-analysis-93f4553fa242

Instagram: @standbyjack

YouTube: www.youtube.com/@daniruj/videos

Support me (🄹): buymeacoffee.com/DaniruJ

Sometimes you're happy to build something knowing its got to come down :)

This is a re-upload having adding a new part to the episode to clear-up a misinterpretation of a metaphor used in the initial version. I only made this addition as it reflects my true intentions behind what I was trying to say at the time more clearly. Don't take these things too literally, everything else remains unchanged x.

Instagram: @standbyjack
YouTube: www.youtube.com/@daniruj/videos
Support me (🄹): buymeacoffee.com/DaniruJ
