Podcast Overview

How do we reach our goals when different parts of our self are in conflict? What Narratives do we tell ourselves? Are we even fully aware of them? Do we reconsider them when we say them out loud, or express them outside of our mind? Think of CySpace as a learning journal, or audio blog about trying to reduce friction, and creating internal harmony to reach our fullest potential. A few topics that will be covered involve behavior modification, mental and physical health, nutrition, rituals and technology that helps and hinders us on such a journey.

Realizing Mental Gains: Reviewing Mindfulness In Action

In this reemergence episode I review the progress I've made since my first blog post on cyspace.blog: Mindfulness In Action. I talk about the major changes in my life, how coffee has actually been helping me sleep, forgiving yourself when you fall short in some way, embracing failure, and erring on the side of optimism, among other things. I also finish the episode on how I intend to produce material down the road.

Organizing Learning Journals Through Mind Mapping (centered around mental health)

In this episode I wanted to dive into the theme of CySpace. I’ve called it a learning journal, but learning journal’s are deeply meta and hard to describe in less than a few sentences. In my own words, a learning journal is a tool for deeply and intentionally studying a subject.

What makes it meta is that you are not just learning the subject, but a whole suite of skills and tools that help you learn and express the topic. In most learning journals you’re talking to a class. A class with one student, yourself. The beauty of this is it becomes a template for other people to learn the same subject in the future.

Recalling Our Past For Solutions In The Present

In this episode I want to discuss the importance of mapping out our journey to the present. In other words, recalling our past. Recalling our past can provide us with potential solutions to our current problems, and help us understand how we got where we are. This helps us gain control of our lives because we are more mindful of how our behaviors formed, and how we can shift bad behaviors while keeping those that enrich our lives.
