[…] Are the costs too high? Are the gross margins wrong? And we go digging for trying to understand why this business isn't earning as much as it should be. And then we have to sort through the stories. So oftentimes there's the stories about, you know, sales that aren't recorded or other personal expenses that are hidden within the business, causing the margins to go down. And the reason people do that, of course, is to lower their tax bill. We have to go investigate every one of those and then make a decision and ask ourselves, is this something we could plausibly present to a lender and have them accept? […]
