   Fired for Being Too Talented: From Assistant to Hollywood TV Writer | Kyera Keene | DDN Ep 57

   Kyera Keene's life looked great from the outside, a Hollywood writing career, big shows, big names. Inside, she says she was crippled, and searching for an answer she had been chasing since she was five. In this episode of the Don't Do Nothing Podcast, writer and musician Kyera Keene tells her story: how she walked onto the set of In Living Color not even knowing what a PA (Production Assistant) was, became Keenen Ivory Wayans' assistant for three and a half years, and got "fired" by him with a twist, he told her she was too talented to stay an assistant, then mentored her into becoming a writer. From there came a 12-year career writing for The Jamie Foxx Show, The PJs, Third Watch, Girlfriends, My Wife and Kids, and more, selling her own pilots, and the time she came within inches of a job writing for Friends. But the thread running through her whole life was a question. At five, she asked her mom what happens when you die, and the answer, "you're a wasn't," felt so wrong it made her physically sick. That started a lifetime of looking. She shares how she wandered into the Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles in 1999, skulked around the windows because of everything negative she'd heard, and says she was sold the moment she walked into the bookstore. She opens up about the PTS/SP course and how it let her finally fall in love with her difficult father before he passed, why she started two Scientology book clubs she still runs, and how Scientology shaped her as an artist.    From an Anxious Kid to Raising Millions for Charity | Cary Green | DDN Ep 56

   He got kicked out of school after pulling the fire alarm to win back recess. A few years later, he had his high school diploma at 14. In this episode of the Don't Do Nothing Podcast, Aaron and Brad sit down with Cary Green, a fourth-generation Scientologist and financial advisor who runs his own firm, Green Era Financial. Cary shares how an anxious, overweight, rebellious kid landed at a tiny boarding school in the New Mexico mountains with no TV, no video games, and no sugar, and how a program called Life Basics taught him everything from laundry to how to communicate. He explains how Educational Repair and Scientology's Study Technology found the skipped gradients in his math, and the two study tricks that got him through high school in under a year.    Celebrity Choreographer Claude Racine Valinsky: How Dianetics Solved the Jealousy Problem | DDN Ep 55
