<p>Myriam Parys is de Vlaamse ombudsvrouw. Ze werkt in het Vlaams parlement, waar ze met de Vlaamse ombudsdienst elk jaar zo’n 10.000 klachten over de Vlaamse Overheid behandelt. Dat zijn klachten over ondermeer de VDAB, de Vlaamse Belastingdienst, De Lijn, de VRT en Kind & Gezin. Eerder werkte ze op de kabinetten van verschillende ministers. Ze woont op een appartement in Leuven dichtbij het station. We gingen naast haar boekenkast in de woonkamer zitten.</p><p><br></p><p>Ze vertelt in deze podcast waarom ik in haar boekenkast heel weinig Nederlandstalige boeken zag staan, waar ze haar boekentips haalt, én over het moment dat ze zélf als burger onzacht in aanraking kwam met een overheidsdienst. #352 Lectrr BIS. De drie boeken die je moet gelezen hebben volgens cartoonist Lectrr BIS.
<p>Cartoonist Lectrr was al mijn gast in <a href="https://wimoosterlinck.wpcomstaging.com/2020/01/28/drie-boeken-12-lectrr/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">aflevering 12</a> van ‘drie boeken’, zeven jaar geleden. Voor deze aflevering vroeg ik hem opnieuw als gast. Lectrr is de huiscartoonist van De Standaard. Hij schreef de roman Ondanks de ondergang, maakte de tv-reeks Trizombie en het hoorspel Barbaarbara voor Het Geluidshuis.</p><p>We spraken af in zijn atelier in het centrum van Gent, een atelier met een bijzonder literair verhaal. We gingen zitten naast een hoge boekenkast vol strips en romans en poppetjes en beeldjes. Hij vertelt in deze podcast hoe hij ooit tijdens een etentje naast Wiske (van Suske en Wiske) bleek te zitten, over zijn verborgen tijdscapsules, over het experiment in tijdreizen dat hij ooit uitvoerde. Het gaat over de bibliotheek van Roeselare, over schetsboeken en over het evangelie van Jenus. #351 Sarah de Koning. De drie boeken die je moet gelezen hebben volgens dichteres Sarah de Koning.
<p>Sarah de Koning (1992) is dichteres. Ze heeft in 2025 haar debuut-poëziebundel gepubliceerd: Tekstielen. Het zijn een soort prozagedichten waar ik enorm grote fan van ben. De dichtbundel won intussen de Johan Polakprijs en was bij de kanshebbers voor verschillende andere literaire prijzen. Ze werkt in boekhandel Paard van Troje in Gent. Ze woont samen met haar man, dichter en boekhandelcollega Arno Van Vlierberghe.</p><p>Sarah en Arno zijn net verhuisd, dus ze hadden mij gewaarschuwd voor dozen en rommel, maar dat viel zeer goed mee. En de boekenkast was al perfect geïnstalleerd. We gingen naast de boekenkast aan tafel zitten. Ze vertelt in deze podcast over het huis dat ze gekozen hebben omdat er twee schrijfkamers in kunnen, over wat er gebeurt als twee dichters samenwonen, en of ze feedback geven op elkaar. Ze vertelt over de bijzondere literaire plek waar haar man haar ten huwelijk vroeg.
