We also cover the Morton Games in Ireland, Eliud Kipchoge&#39;s latest marathon appearance in Brazil, and Tom Samuel&#39;s decision to leave the NCAA and turn professional.</p><p><br></p><p>Then it&#39;s all eyes on <strong>Project 222</strong>.</p><p>Josh Kerr has publicly declared his intention to attack Hicham El Guerrouj&#39;s iconic mile world record of 3:43.13, aiming to become the first man ever to run <strong>222 seconds</strong> for the mile. EDP72: Gold Coast Half Marathon Race Recap / Pre-Classic

<p>The lads are back in what was a massive week of running.</p><p>We kick things off with Eoin&#39;s unforgettable Tour de France experience in Font-Romeu, from roadside crowds and Ben Healy souvenirs to Tommy Foster&#39;s viral TV appearance. Back in Perth, Dean&#39;s starting to feel like himself again on the track, while Ryan reflects on a breakthrough weekend at the Gold Coast Half Marathon.</p><p><br></p><p>On the Gold Coast, Haftu Strintzos shocked everyone by breaking the Australian marathon record in what was only his 3rd attempt over the distance. In the Half, Izzi Batt-Doyle did what she does best and demolished the field.</p><p><br></p><p>Over in Eugene at the Pre Classic, the Aussies were on fire as Cam Myers won the Bowerman Mile while also breaking the Australian record for the mile.</p><p><br></p><p>Ryan takes us inside every kilometre of his new PB, explaining the race plan, the gamble of latching onto Izzi Batt-Doyle&#39;s group, managing the headwind, trusting the heart rate, and the mindset that carried him to a 67:31.
