He studies asteroids, auroral effects on space weather, and instrumentation. <p><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>Stephanie Harpe says she got a lot of things from her dad Henry, including a wicked work ethic and a positive outlook on life.</p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>Stephanie is a musician and advocate for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Henry grew up in Fort McMurray before the oil boom. Their family was Metis, and did a lot to support other families in town.</p> <p><!-- /wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --></p> <p>As oil sands mining ramped up, he moved to Edmonton and travelled back and forth to work at Syncrude and Suncor. Along the way, he tried to make sure other Indigenous workers were treated fairly. <p>Working at the same place as your mom can be a privilege and a pain. Tamisan Bencz-Knight is the Manager of Strategic Relationships & Partnerships at Edmonton's Food Bank. Marjorie Bencz is the Executive Director, a member of the Order of Canada, and her mom.</p> <p>Tamisan loves and respects Marjorie, but wonders if she knows about the anxiety Tamisan feels working together.
