How to Stop Reacting Emotionally and Blaming Others | Grant Dziak
When someone sets you off, it feels like they did it to you. Mental performance coach Grant Dziak doesn't deny that painful things happen. He says the trigger was already inside you, and it's your responsibility to remove it.
I asked Grant how to stop reacting emotionally in the moment and why blame feels so much easier than looking at yourself. I also share why I feel our nervous systems weren't built for thousands of opinions, when our ancestors heard news as a story. His answer for the middle of an argument is a three-step reset: drop your shoulders, take a belly breath, and name what you can see in the room for about 90 seconds.
Key Insights:
✅ You Have a Trigger Inside of You
✅ Drop Your Shoulders, Breathe Into Your Belly
✅ Naming Objects in the Room Signals Safety
✅ Unexpressed Expectations Are Premeditated Resentments
✅ Trusting Others Starts With Trusting Yourself
✅ Gratitude for People You Believe Hurt You

Is AI Making You Dumber? The Risks of Delegating Your Thinking | Margaret Floyd Barry | Ep 100
Most people talk about AI as a way to get more done. For episode 100, I wanted to ask a different question: is AI making you dumber? My wife Margaret Floyd Barry says the risk starts when you hand your thinking to a machine that wants to please you.
Margaret is executive director of the Institute of Restorative Health, which trains clinicians in functional nutrition. I asked her why using AI for health advice is risky when you cannot catch it being wrong, why she stopped handing her own injury recovery to AI, and why she says the human connection in healing is the piece no machine can reproduce.
Key Insights:
✅ Your Thinking Muscles May Atrophy With AI
✅ AI Works When You Can Spot Mistakes
✅ Eager-to-Please AI Can Skew Your Answers
✅ Think Twice Before Uploading Labs to AI
✅ A Human Coach Restarted Her Stalled Recovery

How A Healthy School Lunch Can Change Kids at Home | Hilary Boynton
Hilary Boynton has run the kitchen at a school with no kids menu for ten years, where kindergarten through high school all sit down to the same scratch cooked food. Parents keep telling her the same thing. Their kid eats better at school than at home.
I asked the chef and School of Lunch founder what a school has to change to cook real food at scale, what it takes to do it inside a public school system, and what she has watched carry back to the family table once kids know what real food tastes like.
Key Insights:
✅ Kids Ate What the Family Ate
✅ Picky Eaters May Transition in Two Weeks
✅ Adults Eat Lunch Alongside the Kids
✅ Scratch Kitchens Replaced by Reheating Kitchens
✅ Start With One Local Food Source
