Bodies Count, and so does your VOTE! With election day fast approaching, we thought it was time we hit the gas on getting out the vote for the midterms. For the next six weeks, SisterSong and the Bodies Count podcast (https://www.instagram.com/bodiescount/) are teaming up with the My Body My Future Fund (https://www.mybodyfund.org/?utm_source=ig&utm_medium=social&utm_content=link_in_bio&fbclid=PAcGRvZgJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZA85MzY2MTk3NDMzOTI0NTkAAadutyDFxy9Uu-NYgt5gaKLye65MgLS7XCnMtl-g4qXQWao9hq8v9UhlCPnQEA_aem_RhMga1xV6WtW7p1Vr8nTlw) for the Got Body? campaign (https://www.mybodyfund.org/gotbody)to fight for bodily autonomy and get our people to the polls.
In this full length episode of Bodies Count, Simran is joined by Samirah Raheem (https://www.instagram.com/thisishowilook/?hl=en), face of the Got Body? campaign, and Ericka Claudio, founder of the My Body My Future Fund (https://www.mybodyfund.org/gotbody) to chat about the importance of voting in local and state elections. Did you know that an average of only 15-27% of registered voters are showing up to vote in local elections? That means that your rights are being decided by a tiny portion of the population, and they could be weirdos, who knows. So take back your voice, and take back your vote!
Get your girls together and strut to the polls. Take a cute date to the polls. Do what you gotta do to have your voice heard this election, it takes all of us to win.
This episode of Bodies Count (https://www.instagram.com/bodiescount/) is the kickoff to a six part mini series featuring interviews with some of the biggest movers and shakers in politics today. Every week leading up to Election Day, we’ll be dropping one very special episode featuring state legislators, Congress members, activists, and more from the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference in DC. We’re so excited to be sharing this series with you, enjoy the episode and GET OUT THE VOTE!
Click this link (https://www.mybodyfund.org/gotbody) to check out your very own Got Body? Voter Guide and sign the pledge (https://actionnetwork.org/surveys/pledge-to-vote-local) to let us know that you’ll be voting this election <3

Co-Lactation is Reproductive Justice with Bianca
The best part about Reproductive Justice? That there are no rules! In this episode of Bodies Count, Simran chats with Bianca from Forward Together (https://forwardtogether.org)on their experience with being a non-birthing parent who chose to co-lactate and be part of chest feeding their baby.
This episode is a continuation of Bianca's article on co-lactation (https://forwardtogether.org/co-lactation/) in Forward Together's New Visions anthology. New Visions is a living anthology, a love letter to those who have felt unheard or unrepresented within reproductive justice spaces. Check out Bianca's piece and more here!
