The Goat and her Children (Tshawij te Temsind Bacche)
A retelling of this beautiful kashmiri folktale where man and animal conversed with each other and their like. Always sprinkled with proverbs and idioms, superstition and curses, Kashmiri folktales (Lukh Kath) are spun with words that cannot be translated for lack of the exact meaning in other languages. Told orally and often in song form called 'Dastaan', Kashmiri folktales are a much favored mode of storytelling.

The Fortune Teller
This is an Assamese folktale about a man named 'Phoring'. This is taken from the famed collection of stories written by a literary great - Shri Lakshminath Bezbaruah called 'Burhi Aair Xadhu'. Some words in the story hold their pure essence in the Assamese language itself and is very delightful to the ear when the story telling is done in Assamese. I have tried my utmost best to approach this story in English by trying to keep a close resemblance to that essence. I hope you will like it and share it with your friends, kids or anyone who love to hear folktales from around the world.
