[…] There are lots of low cost ways to do that through public health departments too. Sometimes vaccines, we talk about those preventable diseases. Viruses do a lot more damage to our systems than we realize. And the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic really shed a light on that. Viruses trigger things like diabetes in children. Viruses can trigger lifelong lung function issues. Viruses can trigger dementia and Alzheimer's. There's all sorts of things viruses can do to our bodies, cardiac disease as well, and it damages your vascular system. And not just SARS-CoV-2, influenza can do a lot of that too, just not always at the same rate. […]
