16.000 werkplekken in één keer naar de cloud migreren
<p>Randal maakt een wandeling met Senior Cloud Workplace Engineer Ronald Stokebrand. Ronald en zijn team zijn verantwoordelijk voor het beheer van alle werkplekken binnen Achmea. Van laptops tot mobiele telefoons. Hij migreerde die werkplekken volledig naar de cloud van Microsoft Azure. En dat is een enorme operatie als je bedenkt dat het hierbij gaat om alle 14.000 medewerkers bij Achmea. Die tijdens de migratie gewoon moesten kunnen doorwerken. Van fysieke kabels, naar ongemerkte updates
<p>Randal gaat op pad met Azure Cloud Specialist Juliën Zweverink. Juliën en zijn team zorgen ervoor dat de developers en andere collega’s kunnen werken met functionele bouwblokken voor (onder andere) de websites, zonder dat alle informatie in datacenters staat. Ze hebben twee fysieke datacenters volledig overgezet naar de cloud, waardoor er nu een enorme versnelling is hoe aanpassingen op de website gedaan worden. Én dat updates ongemerkt kunnen plaatsvinden doordat het systeem altijd blijft werken.
