[…] So I'm wondering, to what extent do you see your gender and your sexuality as like intertwined inexorably with your history of like illness or disability or your body in general? Yeah, I mean, it's really hard to differentiate. And it is really difficult to think about my gender without thinking about illness and disability. And it's also really hard to think about disability without thinking about my gender because they both impacted each other and because my friend Akita says that like relationships with trans people have made me more trans and I think about relationships with disabled people have made me more disabled also in that it has like required I develop new understandings of others bodies and my own and in terms of like the specific like arc that's in the book walking in for surgery and like not having used the word trans at all.
